Bhargav: My Eagle Project was a two-stage process. The first step was pouring a 2-ton concrete base to help secure the chess table, and the second step was mounting the chess table on top of the concrete pad. My project took 3 full days to complete, and with the help of my parents, Project Coach, and the Scouts of Troop 598, we were able to successfully install a chess table at Bradley Lake Park.

]]> Polar Bear Plunge (December 2019) http://troop598.info/polar-bear-plunge-2019/ Tue, 31 Dec 2019 12:47:23 +0000 http://troop598.info/?p=12028 Yes, it was that Polar Bear Plunge time of the year again! The Scouts in Troop 598 successfully washed 2019 out of their system with a double dip in the Puget Sound this morning. After successfully completing first frosty foray into the water, once everyone was ashore we did an about-face and backed up our daring/idiotic feat.

Why? you ask… ANYONE can accidentally run out into the freezing water once, but it takes a SPECIAL kind of crazy to do it twice!!!

Highlights were rank advancements and many merit badges earned. There was even an announcement that Mitchell’s Eagle Scout work is complete and the family is just waiting for the paperwork to process before they can have an official celebration.
